Lennart Gustafsson(B. 1947) & Ylva-Li Gustafsson (B. 1960) are the directors and animators behind the Swedish company Kanalfilm Cartoon. They have been working together with animated filmprojects for twenty years. Most projects for young children. Their films have been frequently
represented at international filmfestivals around the world.
Lennart is the creater of the figures as well as bakgrounds. Most of thefilms are made from his own manuscripts. and starts out with an idé from Lennart. Before starting his own studio 1979, Lennart Gustafsson worked with the artist and the professor of art, P-O Ultvedt. They started up a workshop for animation at the Academy of Art in Stockholm.
Ylva-Li has a past in the pop-music,and toured around Sweden with
different popgroups in the early 8o-th. In animation together with Lennart, she found a combination between music and picture. Besides drawing and directing together with Lennart, she makes most of the music to their films.
